American Apparel

My first job in Canada was in American Apparel (AA) as a “Back Stock Associate”. Funny because the owner is Canadian even though the factory is in L.A. and is proudly made in the US. I only worked there for three months, folding and steaming cloths. I was not able to practice my english a lot and all the people working there were weird or maybe I was the weird. But after all was a good experience, it was the first time I was doing something different from school or a serious job. And it gave me the vision that if I wanted to stay more than one year in Canada it is essential to get back to school in Canada.

Loneliness is necessary to grow up. Provides you with an inner understanding of who you are. And eventually lead you to appreciate the pleasure of sharing and companionship. I’m writing this because I decided, with my girlfriend, to live separate, after three months of living together. Airport Gateway to your destiny and departure.

Actually before arriving to Vancouver I had the opportunity to spend a week in LAX (Los Angeles). Its funny because if you see it from outside looks impressive and powerful. But inside is old. A box without any expression or particular feature. On the other Hand YVR ( Vancouver) is really beautiful inside. You can feel the connection which the city has with the natural surroundings. The nice thing about it is that is not lying. The city has that spirit, maybe is not that connected to the Aboriginal People, but at least they are not denied, like in many different places of the world.

I WENT HERE TRYING TO GET A JOB

I have been in Vancouver for the last 6 months. Now I’m start to ask myself what I’m doing here. This blog is an effort in re-discover the reason of my travel (voyage, adventure, self-discover, or something). This post is to express my possible lack of success or maybe the opposite. For the reference of the readers at this precise moment I’m also starting to read “The Art of Travel” from Alain de Botton. This author is a recommendation of a friend of mine whom really know how to write. If I’m successful I will post something every day. Otherwise I was too busy living my life or simple not in the mood of writing. So basically is like any other blog that is in the web, but for sure it will be better than been reading PerezHilton.com
